Fabiola`s Story
Maria Fabiola Churuchumbi Sandoval lives in a small village in Ecuador where two or three families live together in one-room adobe houses. Each family has a plot of land that has been passed down as a heritage of their ancestors. Fabiola and her community members in the village cultivate the land for harvesting, using what they grow to feed their families. When they have extra, they sell it in local markets or exchange it with other families.

CHOICE has officially incorporated The Institute of Self Reliant Agriculture into our program to become one united front. After two years of vetting and thoughtful deliberation we are all thrilled with our decision.
The Institute of Self Reliant Agriculture is a small NGO out of Washington with a great agriculture program that targets mostly the family level. Family gardens, nutrition and food security are critical components of their program.

Metal Stoves in Nepal
Kirti Gurung lives in Karapu, a mountainous village of the Lamjung district in Nepal. Her husband Hom works in the Gulf countries as a laborer, barely making enough to meet the family’s daily expenses. He is one of 3.5 million Nepalese enduring very poor working conditions in order to ensure their family’s survival. He visits his family once every two years.
The Best Holiday Break Ever
Cannot think of a better way to spend Christmas break! This has been such a great way to see Nepal and learn of the wonderful culture of these kind people. We are so grateful to have learned about CHOICE Humanitarian. What an amazing group and wonderful people working so hard to make the world a better place. We will be forever grateful that we saw Meet the Mormons and learned about Bishnu and the wonderful organization. We have loved every minute and every experience here.
