Why does education matter? When people are able to get a quality education they can break the cycle of poverty by getting better jobs and having better lives. Education, therefore, helps to reduce inequalities and empowers people to live more healthy and sustainable lives.

However, in many rural villages schools are scarce. Children have to walk anywhere from one to five miles each way to school. This can make a long day and can prove to be difficult as there can be many dangers children face when walking to school. Also, many of the existing schools lack desks, chairs, books, and can be so cold that learning is difficult.

When a community decides that building a school is their priority, our native country teams work with them to construct a school or classrooms made from locally sourced materials that meet the needs of students in that area.

Each country innovative solutions to unique challenges. Here are some examples.
