Rye was first acquainted with Choice Humanitarian in 2006 while in Nepal. Here he was first introduced to many of the core principles of what makes Choice so effective both on paper and in the field. Rye did studies at Utah State University, completing a BA in Anthropology and a BS in Biology as well as minoring in Spanish. Rye is a sucker for hard work and travel. He and his wife have made it a point to travel as much as, and whenever, possible. It is impossible to put a value on the lessons learned through this and the people befriended along the way. He is an avid outdoor geek who enjoys type 2 fun on occasion.
