Expeditions Overview

Expeditions are a rare opportunity for solo travelers, families, friends, and entire organizations to step out of their comfort zone and support one of our community managed projects volunteering abroad. Trips are equal parts adventure, education, and humanitarian service. Our approach to expeditions is to work within our Model of Leadership Development, making sure the humanitarian projects that we work on are sustainable.

Where We Work

Bolivia Ecuador Guatemala Kenya Mexico Nepal Peru

For one week, participants base in a rural community housed in a classroom, community center, or village home. As a group, they spend their days learning about extreme poverty and poverty solutions at both a global and community level. They eat well and work hard. Participants support community-managed projects that span the construction of classrooms, stoves, or hospitals to trenching water systems or sawing school desks. They dance, they play, and together, with community members, they exchange ideas, cultural norms, and dreams about what it means to be global citizens.
